Please know that some of the members are wonderful and careful, caring cat owners/breeders, and many are, IMO, dastardly with their breeding ideas. Keeping cages in the basement, breeding so many cats that not all are adopted, etc.
I have been to several cat shows of all breeds and know of what I speak.
We have a former grand champion American Shorthair Silver Tabby and had a very rare champion American Shorthair Black Smoke.
I don't like a lot of the breeding of cats that goes on out there. It is very upsetting.
If you go to a show, ask the cat breeders who sell cats how they keep their cats, how many they have, etc. It is most revealing. They will, of course, play down their uncaring behavior.
